Frequently Asked Questions
Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions I receive.
For further assistance, feel free to reach out to me using the contact form or via email at hello@mandamae.com. I’m here to help you make the most of your experience.
What is DEI&I?
DEI&I stands for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Intersectionality. Diversity refers to the presence of differences within a given setting, including race, gender, age, and more. Equity involves ensuring fair treatment, opportunities, and advancement while striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups. Inclusion is about creating environments in which any individual or group can feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. Intersectionality considers how different aspects of a person (such as disability, race, and religion) intersect and influence their experiences.
While we often focus on DEI by itself, such as creating accessible spaces for people with disabilities or providing a prayer room, we sometimes overlook the intersectionality aspect. For instance, a person with a disability might also appreciate having access to the prayer room. It’s important to consider how different aspects of identity can intersect and influence each individual’s needs and experiences.
Can I participate in TLEP workshops as an individual?
Yes, you can register your interest via email and I can let you know about the next publicly available workshop. It’s usually at a conference or ticketed event.
How do I get more information to send to my boss?
Email me! Introduce yourself and let me know how you found me and which information in particular you would like your boss to receive. I can email you directly or I can contact your boss and see what they would be interested in.
How much do the workshops cost?
The workshops are developed on an individual need. I take into consideration, duration, location, attendance and design E.g. more mental health inclusion or more about LGBTQIASB+. Contact me and let me know what you are looking for and I can send you a quote.

Sure do, click here to read the privacy policy.
Can you tell me more about the actual lived experiences you talk about?
Absolutely. In my workshops, within my posts, and in everyday conversations, I share real-life experiences, stories that highlight the challenges people face simply because they differ from society’s rigid expectations of “normal” (one of the many ‘N’ words I actively challenge).
These stories come from my own experiences, my family, my friends, and countless individuals I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. They’re shaped by the voices of people I’ve supported in Disability Employment Services, the LGBTQIASB+ community, the aged population, and those from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. Through conversations with colleagues, clients, and networks, I listen deeply, I learn, and then I share—ensuring these lived realities are heard, acknowledged, and understood.
