“In my journey across this beautiful country, I find my self seeking truth and connection. I trust in touch and physically feeling the ground in which I walk. I trust in smell and the smoking ceremonies that I’ve been blessed to be a part of. I trust in sight and the meaningful dance performances I’ve been privileged to witness and I trust in my emotions when I hear and read the stories of this country’s elders. I acknowledge the journey that has come before me of the Aboriginal and Torres Straight islander people and that the land was never ceded. I also acknowledge the impact this has had and still has”
